South African all-rounder Jean-Paul Duminy has announced his Retirement from ODI cricket after the forthcoming World Cup of the year 2019 in England. Duminy said that in the last few months, I got an opportunity to re-assess my career and meet some goals in the future.

He has previously played the World Cup 2011 and 2015. And The World Cup 2019 will be Duminy's Third World Cup to be held in England. He has played 193 ODIs for South Africa so far in which he Scored 5047 runs at an Average of 37.39 and also bragged 68 wickets.

He said that I am lucky that I got a chance to play the match. I will always be grateful to support my fellow players, coaches, fans, friends and family. I wanted to play T20 cricket for South Africa, but I want to spend time with my family which is my priority.

The Cape Town-born player, who announced his retirement from Test and First-Class Cricket in 2017 to put more focus on his white-ball cricket said that he felt it's the time is right to close this chapter of his international career.

South Africa have to play the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka in Newlands on Saturday, which will be Duminy's last ODI in South Africa.
