The video of the soldiers of the two armies, in which they are seen clashing with each other, is becoming viral on social media with the claim that China is provoking India for war on the Ladakh border.  On 28 May 2020, this video was shared on the Facebook page named Indian Warrior   The video caption reads, "Jai Hind China is provoking India to war.  Tension started on Ladakh border.  Urge all nationalist brothers to start a boycott of Chinese goods immediately. "  This post was shared more than 34,000 times before it was deleted.

Alt News found out through keywords that this video is 6 years old and was broadcast on Zee News on 25 August 2014.  "Chinese soldiers in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district tried to break the border wall which was strongly resisted by the Indian Army," the description reads.  The channel also said that neither the Indian Army confirmed it nor the date information was given in the video.

The report published on 19 August 2014 by the French news agency AFP stated, "Official sources said on Tuesday that Chinese troops had recently entered the disputed territory occupied by India, due to the same situation as last year where  tension had arisen between the two superpowers. " That is, the 6-year-old video is being shared telling about the recent skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers.
