20 New Cases of Coronavirus in Uttarakhand, One Infected Died

Three cases have been reported from Almora and Uttarkashi, two each from Pithoragarh, Nainital and Dehradun and one from Haridwar

On Saturday, 20 new cases of Covid-19 infected were reported in Uttarakhand. These are the highest number of cases came in one day, whereas the total number of infected in the state now stands at 173. A person infected with the corona virus died at AIIMS in Rishikesh, whereas a bulletin issued by the state health department said that new cases have come up in Almora, Champawat, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi. Champawat was in the Green Zone, but now there have been seven cases reported there.

Three cases have been reported from Almora and Uttarkashi, two each from Pithoragarh, Nainital and Dehradun and one from Haridwar. A large number of migrants returning home is one of the reason that new cases come every day, meanwhile, a patient died at AIIMS in Rishikesh on Friday night. However, according to officials, the cause of death was not the corona virus but respiratory failure and pharyngeal cancer.

Madhur Uniyal, the nodal officer of Covid-19 at Rishikesh AIIMS, said that the patient had cancer and underwent a recent operation, it should be noted that this is the second case of death in the state, whereas the first case came on May 1 in which a 56-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital after a stroke.
