Pledging to protect the country's pride at all costs, 184 soldiers of the Garhwal Regiment became an integral part of the army. The newly trained soldiers pledged to make their supreme sacrifice in defense of the country.
On Saturday, the Kasam Parade ceremony was held at Bhavani Dutt Parade Ground of Garhwal Rifles Regiment Center. In which Major General Mukesh Kumar took the salute as the chief guest. The newly trained recruits exhibited superb dill. Addressing the parade, Major General Mukesh Kumar said that the newly trained soldiers joined the army and took the best decision of their lives. Said that it is very important to have qualities like obedient, dutiful, honest, outstanding bravery inside a best soldier. He gave a message to the soldiers to further popularize the fame earned by the ancestors of the Garhwal Rifles Regiment. He also congratulated the relatives of the soldiers who became part of the parade for joining the army family. Army bands performed delectable tunes on the occasion. The recruits took the oath of army by considering the national flag and touching the scripture Gita. The newly trained recruits held the royal rope over the right shoulder. Significantly, the Garhwal Rafals Regiment is one of the select armies of the country, which has been awarded the Distinguished Royal Rope for exceptional valor and indomitable courage.
Rifleman Ajendra Singh gets gold medal
Rifleman Ajendra Singh was awarded the gold medal during the Kasam Parade ceremony held at the Garhwal Rifles Regiment Center, while Rifleman Jaideep Singh was awarded the silver and Rifleman Saurabh Singh the bronze medal. Rifleman Manish was awarded for the best performance in firing. Havildar Balak Singh was given the best instructor and Naib Subedar Sohan Singh was given the Palatoon Commander and Subedar Sharat Singh the Course Championship banner.
