The Union Health Ministry, through a letter on 9 January, informed all states and Union Territories about the decision to postpone the national polio campaign. Earlier, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan had said on January 8 that polio vaccination would be done on January 17.
According to the information, Corona vaccination is going to start in the country from January 16. It is believed that this decision has been taken in view of the severity of corona virus. Polio medicine is given to millions of children every year in India. It has been postponed for some time due to corona vaccination. Let us tell you that this is the first time in the last 25 years that the polio campaign has been pushed forward.
Front-line workers will be given the Corona vaccine
Under the vaccination campaign, which is being started on a large scale in the country, the front line workers will be given the corona vaccine. After this, the corona vaccine will be brought to the sweepers, policemen, security personnel and security forces personnel. After this, people above 50 years of age and those who are more susceptible to infection will get vaccinated in the second phase.
Recently, PM Modi had discussed with the Chief Ministers about the campaign to be started against the coronavirus. During this time, he had said that the Corona vaccination campaign in India will be the largest campaign in the world, but other vaccination work will continuously along with it.
