16 new cases of coronavirus infected have been confirmed in Chhattisgarh, after which the number of infected with this virus has increased to 148 in the state. State Health Department officials said here on Friday that corona virus infection has been confirmed in 16 new people in Korba, Kanker and Bemetara districts of the state. Officials said corona virus infection has been confirmed in 12 people of Korba district, three people in Kanker district and one person in Bemetra district, whereas most of these people said to be migrant laborers.
They said that the 12 people who have been confirmed to have been infected with the Corona virus today in Korba district, arrived here from many different parts of the country. They were kept in a separate residence center under the Darri police station area, besides this, officials said that the number of people infected with the virus has increased to 148 after 16 new cases were reported in the state on Friday, whereas of these 59 people have been discharged after treatment.
Presently 89 patients of this virus are being treated in the state. By Thursday, samples of 45,522 people in the state had been tested, whereas no person has died of this disease in the state so far.
