14 Indian Shooters Qualify for ISSF World Cup Rifle and Pistol Final

The prestigious tournament determines the season’s best shooters across events, and India is fielding a 14-member squad.
14 Indian Shooters Qualify for ISSF World Cup Rifle and Pistol Final

For the first time in the history of shooting, 14 Indian shooters have qualified for the year-end World Cup finals. Four Indian shooters will play in the women's 10-meter air rifle at the World Cup Finals starting November 19 in Putian, China. This has never happened before. All 14 Indian shooters have reached Putian to become the best shooter of the year.

Saurabh Chaudhary of Meerut has qualified with 10 meter air pistol and Apoorvi Chandela of Jaipur with world number one title in 10 meter air rifle, while Abhishek Verma, Yashaswani Singh Deswal (10 meter air pistol) with world number two has qualified.

Anjum Moudgil, who won a silver at the World Championships and took a Tokyo ticket in the 10-meter air-rifle, will also play in the 10-meter and 50-meter three-position. Similarly, Manu Bhakar will play in 10 meter air pistol and 25 meter pistol. The Indian shooter will also play in the 10m air rifle and 10m air pistol mix event.

Apoorvi, Anjum, Mehuli Ghosh and Elavenil Velarivan will play in the women's 10m air rifle. In the 10 meter air pistol, Saurabh will play along with, Shahzar Rizvi of Meerut. Sanjeev Rajput and Akhil Sheoran in 50m Three Positions, Divyansh Singh Panwar in 10m Air Rifle, Anish Bhanwala in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, World No 3 Rahi Sarnobat in 25m Pistol will play in this tournament.
