12 New Cases of Coronavirus Reported in Himachal Pradesh, Total number of Infected Increased to 105

The total number of infected people in the state has gone up to 105 out of which 51 people have become infection free after treatment and four have died

Twelve people returned from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh have been found infected with the corona virus. With these, the cases of Covid-19 in the state have increased to 105. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. He said 11 people, including four women, were found infected in Kangra district and one person in Kullu district.

Officials said that all these 12 people came to the state from Mumbai on May 18 along with 697 others in a special train. Kangra Superintendent of Police Vimukt Ranjan said that a woman (56), her son (31) and wife (25) of her son were involved in 11 cases reported in Kangra. Apart from this, another person (41), his wife (34) and his son (11) have also been found infected. They said that these people were found infected in an investigation conducted at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College located in Tanda. He was kept in a separate residence at Parour, from where he is being taken to Baijnath.

Kangra is currently undergoing treatment for 24 infected people and one person died in March. Eight out of the total 33 people infected in the district have recovered. Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that a 23-year-old man resident of Anni in Kullu has been found infected. This is the first case of a person being found infected in the district. Gaurav told that this person came from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh on 18 May by special train. He said that he was kept in isolation along with 10 other people at the Ayurved Hospital in Bajaura. All these people were examined in which this person was confirmed infected. The remaining nine people were not found infected.

Gaurav told that the infected person is kept separate from everyone else. Samples of all those in contact with him will be taken. The bus driver and conductor are kept in separate habitat. The total number of infected people in the state has gone up to 105 out of which 51 people have become infection free after treatment and four have died. 50 people are being treated in the state, including 24 from Kangra, 11 from Hamirpur, five each from Bilaspur and Chamba, two each from Sirmaur and Una and one person from Kullu.
