According to the study, 106 shutdowns were done in India in the year 2019.

Significantly, the internet was shut down in Kashmir on August 4 and it is considered as the longest internet shutdown by any country. Internet has been closed for more than 158 days.

Iraq-Sudan
In Iraq, about 209 hours of internet captivity resulted in a loss of $ 2.3 billion, while in Sudan, 864 hours of detention caused a loss of $ 1.87 billion.

The Supreme Court has ordered on Friday that the state government must publish all the orders related to Internet ban, Section 144, Travel ban. With this, orders have been given to review these decisions within 7 days.

8 Billion Dollar Loss to the World
Internet research firm Top10VPN's study 'The Global Cost of Internet Shutdown' uses data from World Bank, ITU, Eurostat and US census. The loss of internet has caused a total loss of $ 8.05 billion worldwide. This is 235 percent more than the year 2015-16. Data collected by an NGO Software Freedom Law Foundation has also been used in this.

According to the Business Standard, this study says, "India is often seen banning the Internet more than other countries. This has been done more than 100 times in the year 2019. Even in many cities, the internet is shut down for hours to restore law and order. In this report, attention has been given to wide area-wise detention and many minor incidents have been left out. Therefore, if we see its full economic impact, it could be more than our $ 1.3 billion.

Significantly, in April 2018, a report by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (Icrier) had estimated that the economic impact of Internet shutdown in India during 2012-17 was around $ 3.04 billion and a total of 16,315 hours. Internet closed until.
